Wheels For Hope – Bike Donation in Cambodia

Wheels for Hope is formed by a group of cycling enthusiasts who Rides for a Worthy Cause. It’s mission is to fundraise for designated HOPE worldwide charity programs. In Sept 2012, Upside Down Concepts underwrite the donation of 78 bicycles to poor communities in Cambodia. These bicycles go to:
1. 42 Students from the village of Oudong, who live 5-6km from school. In sweltering heat or pouring rain, they’ll have to trek the distance to get an education. The bicycles will help shorten and lighten their traveling distance, encouraging them to stay in school.
2. 21 HIV families in Oudong. So that they can get to the hospital to get their regular HIV treatment
3. 15 Poor students who live 7-10km from the Goldstone School, so that they can commute to school more easily.
